About Me

Patricia Rose:  A Potpourri of Fabric, Fragrance and Findings is my own, Patricia's, dream come true.  For many years, I have dreamed of having my own little shop full of beautiful, handmade, wonderful smelling things.  My dream was for a brick and mortar store, Internet boutiques were little known when I first wanted to do this.  I didn't even have a computer then!

So here I am, I won't tell you how many years later, in the world wide web, something I most certainly didn't dream of, but is giving me such great pleasure now.  I have discovered, for my lifestyle, this is much better than what I had dreamed of.  It has caused me a bit of angst trying to learn all this new information, but I am moving forward confidently now.  I am a member of the International Herb Association and The Essential Herbal group  to help continue my education in herbs and the marvelous things they do for us. I have been an invited guest blogger on Aromatics International's Blog, an institution of aromatherapy education and certification. I have embarked on their certification in Aromatherapy course and am loving learning more about this field I love!  I am the proud member of several on line marketing groups:  Make Mine Pink, Nashville BoutiquesVictorian Heart Shoppes, The Raven and The Rose.

I was quite pleased to have been invited by our Chamber of Commerce to participate in a local craft day in Pine Bush, NY, in September, 2009.  It was a lovely day and I met some really wonderful people.  I will definitely be participating in future craft days.

I am having the time of my life, mixing up all the old fashioned potpourris, hand stitching silk sachets, embellishing with silk ribbon embroidery and whatever else strikes my fancy.  I so enjoy making my potpourri, a very high quality product that I am proud to have in my home and hope you are proud to enjoy in yours.  Come visit with me on my blog, www.patriciarose-apotpourriof.blogspot.com where I will share little tidbits I learn of herbal matters and parts of my life which I hope you will find interesting.

I live in a very old farmhouse, the newest addition was built in 1842, with my husband, two dogs, one cat and a very talkative African Gray.  I have raised four children, one girl (now a woman) and three boys (now men).  I have four gorgeous grandchildren who are the light of my life.  My hubby and I enjoy our house and the wildlife that wanders through each day.  The deer walk through morning and night and barely raise their heads if we are there.  The wild turkeys make an appearance once or twice a week, they like to see what's in the garden.  And then we have Super Chuck, the biggest ground hog I've ever seen who lives behind our kitchen.

Welcome to my world,  I hope we become friends over the Internet,

Pat
